The Kevin Devine show last night was fun. I'm really glad was able witness the world's sweatiest ginger sing a Boys II Men song and explain the rules of doing cocaine and eating pizza. You learn something new everyday. The drive there and back was long, but sometimes dancing around and singing terribly in the car is half the fun. I don't know if Karmen feels that way though, but she always gets a good laugh or five out of me. The funniest part of the evening however, was this:
I hope we're home in time to watch the Golden Girls.
- Karmen
What an amazing quote. So deep. So insightful. The real kicker was that we did in fact make it home in time to watch Sophia, Blanch, Dorothy, and Rose get into their ridiculous shenanigans.
Last Monday at work Chuck (the boy's grandpa) turned on the movie White Christmas. It's apparently one of those classic Christmas films everyone loves. I'd never seen it before and ended up watching it. Within the first ten minutes I loved it. There's just something special about classic movies. I don't know what it is, they just feel magical, charming, and perfect. I think it may be the actors. To sum things up, I've been watching Turner Classic Movies all week and enjoying every bit of it.
I just finished watching The Shop Around The Corner. You should watch it too, if only for the bickering between Sullavan and Stewart.
( Tell me this doesn't look good. )
In other news, I have a wisdom tooth coming in. It is starting to feel a bit odd, but I can't tell if my mind is playing tricks on me or it's actually throbbing.
I hope we're home in time to watch the Golden Girls.
